Our team brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, having trained a number of students who have gone on to become professional dancers. Dareema DeVose
Assistant to the Artistic Director
Dareema, a native of Philadelphia began her dancing as a child. She attended Brenda Lee’s Dance Studio and Performing Arts Center throughout her childhood and high school years. In college Dareema served as a member of IUP’s Dance Theater. As an adult Dareema was a member of THJ Dance Company and served as a leader of the praise dance ministry at Mt. Airy Church of God in Christ. Dareema took her love and passion for dance and joined The Pointe! Dance Studio as the Beginner A teacher. With over 15 years of teaching Beginner A, Dareema hopes to continue to share her love for dance through the administrative pathway.

Eboni Osborne
Adult Dance Instuctor
Eboni Osborne was born and raised in Philadelphia. When she was four years old she enrolled in pre-dance at the Philadelphia School of Dance Arts under the direction of the legendary Joan Myers Brown. She was a student there until the age of 18. Eboni began teaching dance at the Philadelphia School of Dance Arts and The Pointe! Dance Studio in 2002. After a short sabbatical, Eboni returned to The Pointe Dance Studio for the 2023-2024 dance year. She is excited to be back teaching the Adult class.

Stephanie Demby

Stephanie Demby, is currently the Director of Dance at the Creative and Performing Arts High School of Philadelphia (CAPA), realized her love and dedication to dance at an early age. She began formally training at the age of six at the Progressive Center for Dance before going on to study dance at CAPA. She later received her B.F.A. in Theater Arts with a concentration in Dance from the Howard University School of Fine Arts. Stephanie, a native Philadelphian, has performed with many companies and renowned choreographers. In 2012, Stephanie was a recipient of Dance UP's Rocky Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Philadelphia dance community. She is currently the Artistic Director of Grace Dance Theater Inc. in West Philadelphia. With over 20 years of experience her background includes performing, choreographing shows and major events, and teaching classes at various studios in the tri-state area

Breyanna Maples

Philadelphia native, Breyanna Maples is an alumni of The University of The Arts, School of Dance under the direction of Donna Faye Burchfield. As a freelance artist her practice is through but is not limited to Dance, her practices extend into theatre, gallery performance and design. Breyanna is a 2020 inaugural recipient of the Mural Arts Philadelphia Fellowship for black Artists and a 21-22 ILab resident. She is the current rehearsal director for The Training Company of Grace and teaching throughout the Philadelphia area. Her performance credits include Solange Knowles/ Gerard and Kelly, Okwui Okpokwasili and Peter Born, Waheed Works, Dara Meredith, Jon Baldwin and more.

Brianna Harris

Brianna Harris started her training at the age of three at Philadanco. At the age of five she began dancing at Dance for You. She continued her formal dance training at Miss Carols Center for dance formally known as Progressive Center for Dance, and continued to train at I am Phresh. Brianna, is one of the original members of MCCD's Children's Dance Ensemble, a competition team and performance outlet for the children of MCCD. Joining at age 11, she competed at various regionals and nationals competitions, winning numerous awards, Titles and recognitions with the team and as a soloist until 2013 . She then became a member of the Grace Dance Theater family in 2013, joining the Training Company of Grace, Grace Dance II, Grace Dance Competition team and the first company of Grace. As well as a member of Academy of Phresh. Through out her training Brianna has studied Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Acrobatics, Hip Hop, African and Praise in the classes and summer programs/intensives she has attended. She has performed with Artist Saleka and Rema and has performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Brianna has also has received her BFA in dance from Temple University.

Jaila Wilson

Jaila Wilson, born and raised in the Philadelphia area, has trained in various dance genres and performed with many dance companies. Their favorite style is hip-hop/commercial dance. As a teacher, Jaila aims to bring greater awareness of dance as both a sport and a form of physical and mental therapy for everyone.

Malaya Keene

Malaya Keene started her dance career at age 4 with D'Shay School of Dance until the age of 13. After receiving 2 years of dance training at Ms.Carroll's Center for Dance she then attended The Pointe Dance Studio, becoming a member of Straight to the Pointe (STTP) dance company. While being a STTP company member she also attended CAPA High School under the direction of LaDeva M. Davis, becoming a member of the CAPA dance company. Throughout her dance career, Malaya has competed in dance competitions, attended dance intensives at the Ailey School and conferences such as The International Association for Black Dancers (IABD). Currently, Malaya is continuing her training to teach and inspire the next generation of dancers.

Sabree Primus

Sabree Primus, born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, received her dance training at The Pointe! Dance Studio under Charell Chestang, from ages 6-18. She continued her dance education as a major at CAPA, where she performed in the 6abc Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Washington DC Cherry Blossom Parade, and served as the Dance Department’s Administrative Assistant. Sabree was a member of Straight To The Pointe Dance Company for 8 years, where she grew as a dancer, attended conferences like IABD, competed, and served as Dance Captain. She also attended the Debbie Allen Dance Academy Summer Intensive. Now, Sabree is excited to return to her home studio as an instructor, eager to inspire the next generation of artists.

Jaret Barron

A Philadelphia native with roots in theater, education, and entrepreneurship, Jaret has spent his career creating spaces for others to grow, build, and shine.

Shavonne Munir
African Dance
Shavonne Munir is a Philadelphia native. She has a B.S in Kinesiology from the Pennsylvania State University, her MS in Holistic Medicine from Union Institute and University and is an Advanced Diagnostics Medical Imaging candidate at Boise State. She has been professional trained in jazz, modern, ballet and Umfundalai African dance for over 29 years. Her training journey began at Freedom Theatre and has traveled to Philadanco (D2), Dance Theatre of Harlem, Kariamu & Co., and Grace Dance Theater. She is thrilled to join The Pointe Dance Studio and continue to grow the dancer mind and body!​

Koy Withers

Koy L. Withers is an award-winning dancer, choreographer, and educator based in Philadelphia. He is a proud graduate of Rider University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Elementary Education.
Koy began his formal dance training in his mid-teens with X-Perience Dance Company under the direction of Fayette Coppock-Brown. He later continued his studies at the Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA), where he was mentored by the legendary LaDeva Davis. During his time at Rider University, Koy worked closely with esteemed artists including Dr. Kimberly Chandler-Vaccaro, Merli Guerra, Justin Dominic, and Talin Kenar, contributing to a variety of creative projects and performances.
Since graduating, Koy has joined Grace Dance Theater’s Second Company and has played an integral role in helping relaunch the arts and education programming with X-Perience Dance Company. Beyond the studio and stage, he brings his passion for education into the classroom as a dedicated third-grade teacher with the School District of Philadelphia.
Now in his first season as a teaching artist at The Pointe! Dance Studio, Koy is excited to share his artistry, discipline, and love for dance with the next generation of movers. His teaching is grounded in excellence, mentorship, and the belief that every student deserves the opportunity to grow, express, and thrive.

Amira Beasley
Upper School Tap
Amira is a proud alumna of The Pointe! Dance Studio, where she began her dance journey as a young student and graduated in 2014. During her time at the studio, she was a dedicated member of the prestigious pre-professional company, Straight to the Pointe! Following graduation, Amira returned as the company’s rehearsal coach, helping dancers sharpen their technique and prepare to take the stage with confidence and professionalism.
Over the years, she has taught and choreographed at numerous dance schools across Philadelphia, earning multiple awards and competition titles along the way. Amira brings passion, precision, and creativity to every class she teaches, with specialties in tap, modern, jazz, and African dance.
Now rejoining The Pointe! Dance Studio faculty as a tap instructor, Amira is excited to give back to the very community that helped shape her artistry and to inspire the next generation of dancers to dream big and dance boldly.

Autumn Jones

Autumn Jones is a passionate dance educator and accomplished business professional with a Bachelor of Science in Business & Marketing. Her career blends creativity and strategy, with experience across the retail, beauty, education, and entrepreneurial sectors.
Autumn’s dance journey began at the age of four and has remained central to her identity ever since. A proud alumna of The Pointe! Dance Studio and its pre-professional company Straight to the Pointe!, she trained in multiple styles and performed works by acclaimed choreographers including Tommie-Waheed Evans, Dara Meredith, and Kameron Saunders. Her background reflects a deep commitment to both technical growth and artistic expression.
Now in her first season as a teaching artist at TPDS, Autumn brings her full-circle experience back to the place where her love for dance was nurtured. She is dedicated to creating a classroom environment that inspires, uplifts, and prepares young dancers to chase their dreams with confidence and discipline. With every class, Autumn encourages students to move with purpose and passion—just as she has throughout her own journey.

Kennedy Fields

Kennedy is a dance instructor in her second year at Pointe Dance Studio, specializing in ballet, modern, jazz, pointe, and acrobatics. An alum of Straight to the Pointe Dance Company and a graduate of West Chester University, Kennedy danced on the university dance team and has trained in dance since the age of 8. She brings performance-level technique, artistry, and a collaborative teaching approach to help students build confidence and reach their personal best.

Shante Forrest
Beginner A Combo
Ms. Shante has been an instructor,
Choreographer and lover of dance for
over 25 years. As a dancer, she studied under the late Ms. Marian D. Cuyjet, Cheryl Gaines Jenkins, Delphine T. Mantz, and a host of others at the La-Cher-Tari dance studio in Philadelphia. Ms. Shante continued her formal dance training while studying at the University of Pittsburgh in the Katherine Dunham Technique, Horton Technique, and Afro- Caribbean Dance under the late Ms. Shona Sharif. Ms. Shante teaches Beginner ballet and jazz.
